This is a question that has been debated in the real estate industry for some time. The question being, does selling furnished or unfurnished impact your showing feedback?
Those who support unfurnished say it is more ideal so buyers can picture their personal belongings in the house. People who support furnished say the home feels too cold without furniture. What option is best?
From our experience and other real estate professionals the best route seems to be light and neutral furniture if possible. It's still recommended to remove very personal belongings and pictures. A light amount of neutral furniture can warm up the space without overstating that the property belongs to another person. A good example would be how a well done hotel room or short term rental is furnished. Not empty, not too personal, but just right.
What are your thoughts?
Our home in Maineville sold much quicker with furniture and neutral colors. Well worth it!
I agree, I like to see some furniture in homes rather than vacant (if possible)
